Full-time Pastor

Aberdeen Chinese Christian Church is a non-denominational evangelical church located in the centre of Aberdeen City in Scotland. Our church has a congregation of 50, which comprises local residents, overseas students, professionals and restaurant people. The number of overseas Chinese students in Aberdeen has increased substantially in recent years. This makes our city an exciting mission field.

  1. Preaching the Gospel;

  2. Leading fellowships;

  3. Pastoral care and visitation;

  4. Bible teaching, and care of the spiritual growth of the congregation.

The general requirements of a pastor:

  1. Good relationship with God, and sensitivity to sin;

  2. Not less than two years' full-time theological training;

  3. Ability to preach in both Cantonese and Mandarin and to communicate in English;

  4. Shepherding gifts: to be watchful (Heb 13:17; 2 Tim 4:5); gentle and affectionate (1 Thess 2:7-8); and able to exhort, warn and comfort (1 Cor 4:14-15);

  5. Sound leadership qualities, and continuous self development;

  6. Several years of pastoral experience would be highly desirable;

  7. A U.K. recognised driving licence would be a definite help although not essential.

The term of employment will be for an initial period of two years. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and is subject to review on an annual basis. Remuneration package includes other benefits.
